Subclass 190 NSW Nomination – New Skilled Occupation List
NSW Government announced its new Skilled Occupation List for the Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa and the Subclass 489 Skilled-Regional (Sponsored) Visa on 15 October 2012.

The Subclass 190 (Skilled - Nominated) visa Occupation list - 122 occupations:

Business & Finance (8, General/Management/Taxation Accountant, etc.)
ICT (5, Software Engineer, Programmer, Systems Administrator, etc.)
Science (5, Chemist, etc.)
Health (52)
Engineers (16, Construction Project Manager, etc.)
Education (8, Early Childhood, etc.)
Metal Trades (8, Welder, Fitter, Metal Machinist, etc.)
Building Trades (13, Electrician, Carpenter, Bricklayer, Plumber, Cabinet Maker, etc.)
Automotive Trades (3, Motor Mechanic, etc.)
Tourism & Hospitality (4, Hotel Manager, Chef, Cook & Baker)


The Subclass 489 (Skilled – Regional (Sponsored)) visa Occupation list contains many popular occupations of Health, engineers, Education, Metal Trades, Building Trades, Automotive Trades, and Tourism & Hospitality for Murray, Riverina and Northern Island Region.
Since the skilled migration scheme is processed by EOI SkillSelect System from 1st July 2012, the applicants should wait for the invitation after the EOI Submission. Therefore, applying for state nomination could be a better option if the occupation belongs to the state SOL.
